Window Company Websites

What's included in your window company website

Everything below comes with the one plan at A$249 a month and A$499 setup, GST may apply. Nothing here is an add-on.

A page for each product you sell

People rarely search for "windows". They search for the thing they want: double glazing for an old house, a stacker door to the deck, acoustic glass for a bedroom on a main road. A site with one catch-all products page gives Google and the visitor very little to go on. Google's own starter guide tells site owners to think about the words a user might search for 5 to find your content, and for a window company those words are product names.

So your site gets a page for each product line you actually sell. Each page covers what the product is, where it suits, the frame and glass options you offer for it, photos of your installs and a button to the quote form with that product already selected.

Typical product pages
  • Awning, sliding, casement and double-hung windows
  • Sliding, stacker, bifold and hinged doors
  • Double glazing, acoustic, low-E and laminated glass
  • Retrofit and secondary glazing
  • Glass repairs and replacements
  • Shower screens, splashbacks and mirrors, if you do them

A quote form built around how you price windows

A name, an email and "message" leave you ringing back blind. The form on your site asks the questions you would ask on the phone, in plain words, with only the essentials required. We set the exact fields with you during the build.

Quote form fields and why each one is there
FieldWhy it is there
Suburb or town Tells you straight away whether the job is in your area and how far the measure is.
What the job is New windows, replacement, retrofit double glazing, a repair, doors, shower screen or splashback.
How many windows or doors A range is enough. One pane and a whole-house job need different call-backs.
Rough sizes Optional, in millimetres or "about a metre wide". Useful for doors and large fixed panes.
Current frames Timber, aluminium, uPVC or unsure. Decides whether retrofit is even possible.
Main goal Warmth, noise, security, looks, or replacing something broken.
Photos Close-ups and a wide shot of the window in the wall. The single most useful field for pricing.
Best time to call Many homeowners are at work when you are on the tools.

Form submissions go to your email and appear in your monthly report. The form runs on the booking and form tools described in our privacy policy.

Layout of a product spec block

Awning window, thermally broken aluminium

  • WERS heating stars
  • WERS cooling stars
  • Uw
  • SHGCw
  • Glass: double glazed, low-E

Labels only. On your site each chip carries the rated figure you supply for that exact frame and glass combination.

Room for WERS ratings and specs

The Window Energy Rating Scheme rates whole-window performance 6 , not just the glass. Builders, energy assessors and careful homeowners look for those numbers. Your product pages get a spec block for the ratings, U-value and SHGC you have for each product, shown next to the frame and glass combination they belong to.

We only publish figures you give us for your actual products, and each one is labelled with where it comes from. If you don't have ratings for a product, the block shows its frame and glass options instead. There is more detail in how to show WERS ratings on your website.

Service areas that match where you want work

A clear service areas page tells people in the next town that you do travel, and tells people far away that you don't. If you want more work in particular places, those towns or suburbs get a short page of their own with jobs you have done there, rather than hundreds of copied suburb pages.

Kept consistent with your Google Business Profile

Your website areas should match the service areas on your Google profile. Google's guidance for service-area businesses is that the area shouldn't reach beyond about 2 hours of driving 2 time from where you are based, which is a sensible rule for your website too. Google says local results mainly depend on relevance, distance and prominence 1 .

A separate path for builders and trade customers

Builders don't want the homeowner quote form. They want to send plans or a window schedule, know your lead times and whether you supply only or supply and install, and find your compliance documents without calling. If you do trade work, your site gets a builders page with a plans upload, your supply options and space for product documents.

  • Upload plans or a window schedule
  • Supply only, or supply and install, stated clearly
  • Lead time information you keep current through your monthly edits
  • Product documents you supply, such as rating details and warranty information

A reviews section that plays by the rules

Reviews matter for local search: Google says more reviews and positive ratings can help 1 a business's local ranking. Your site links to your Google reviews and can show real reviews your customers have left, with their permission.

We won't write, edit or cherry-pick reviews for you. In Australia it's against the law 3 to create fake or misleading reviews or arrange for others to. If you don't have reviews yet, the section waits until you do. Our article on getting more Google reviews covers a fair way to ask.

What the section never shows
  • Invented or "illustrative" testimonials
  • Star ratings without real reviews behind them
  • Only the good reviews, hand-picked
  • Logos of builders you haven't worked with

Hosting, security and speed handled for you

Your site is built as fast static pages and hosted on a global network. The plan covers the hosting, the SSL certificate that gives the padlock in the browser, and security updates. There is no plugin dashboard to keep patched and nothing for you to log in to.

Phone first

Google uses the mobile version 4 of a site for indexing, and many people look up a glazier on their phone.

SSL certificate

Every page served over HTTPS, renewed automatically.

Security updates

We keep the site's code and hosting current.

Your domain

Registered in your business name. You keep it if you leave.

We don't promise a speed score or a position in Google. We build pages to load quickly and check them before launch.

content edits every month

Monthly edits, so the site keeps up with the business

An edit is one change to an existing page. Send it by email or message and we make the change. Examples from a window company's month:

  • Add photos from three recent installs to the gallery
  • Add a new door range to the doors page
  • Update lead times on the builders page
  • Add a town to your service areas
  • Change your winter hours

Bigger work, such as a new feature or a redesign, is quoted first. Nothing is charged without your agreement.

A monthly report of the enquiries your site received

Each month you get a short report listing the quote requests and bookings that came through the website. It shows what the site is producing in plain numbers you can check against your own records, without needing to open an analytics tool. It doesn't include estimates or projections.

Find out which of these your business needs

Book a 20-minute call. We look at how you quote and what you sell, and tell you plainly whether the plan suits your business.

The plan, in one line

A$249 a month, A$499 setup, GST may apply, 12-month minimum term.

No obligation on the call. If the plan isn't right for how you work, we say so.
