Privacy policy

What we collect when you book a call, fill in a form or email us, why we collect it, who else handles it and how to ask for it.

This policy has not yet been reviewed by a qualified adviser. It will be reviewed, and may change, before launch.

Who we are

The business behind this site will be named here, with its ABN, state and a working contact address, before launch.

The law we follow

The Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set the rules for handling personal information in Australia. Under the Act, a small business is generally one with an annual turnover of $3 million or less 1 , and many small businesses are not covered unless an exception applies. Whether or not that exemption applies to us, we handle personal information in line with the APPs.

What we collect

  • When you book a call or send an enquiry: your name, business name, email address, phone number if you give it, and anything you write about your business, such as the products you sell and the areas you serve.
  • When you email us: your email address and whatever you include in the message.
  • When you become a client: business contact and billing details, and the content you send us for your website.

We don't ask for sensitive information, and we ask you not to send it. You can ask us general questions without giving your name.

Why we collect it

We use your details to answer your enquiry, hold the call you booked, prepare and send a quote, build and look after your website if you sign up, invoice you, and keep records the law requires. We don't sell personal information, and we don't add you to a marketing list unless you ask to be added.

Who else handles it

  • Booking and forms. Once they are live, our booking calendar and enquiry form are provided by GoHighLevel (also known as LeadConnector). The details you enter go to that service, which stores them for us. Its servers may be outside Australia, for example in the United States.
  • Hosting. This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, it processes technical request details such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, and that processing may happen outside Australia.
  • Email and accounts. Our email and accounting providers handle the messages and invoices we send and receive.

We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect personal information in a way consistent with the APPs. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and analytics

This website currently sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising tags. See the cookie notice for the details and for what happens if that changes.

Your clients' enquiries

If you are a client, enquiries your customers send through your website pass through our systems on their way to you. We handle them as described in the plan terms. Your business decides how it uses them afterwards.

Keeping it secure

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, protect it with access controls and encrypted connections, and delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or to have it corrected. We will respond within 30 days. If you have a complaint about how we handled your information, contact us first using the contact details shown above once they are published and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the way we handle personal information changes, and change the date at the top.
