Where window company websites lose quote requests

Window work is a considered purchase. People compare products, check ratings and look at your past jobs before they ask for a measure. These are the gaps that send them to someone else.

  1. One "Windows" page for everything

A homeowner looking for acoustic glass or a stacker door lands on a page that barely mentions it, and goes back to the search results.

    What the site does instead

A page for each product type you sell, so each one can be found and linked from your quotes, ads and Google Business Profile.

  2. A contact form that only asks for a name and message

You call back with no idea whether it is one cracked pane or twenty windows across a double storey, so every lead starts from scratch.

    What the site does instead

A quote form built around how you price: suburb, window count, rough sizes, frame type, the goal and photos.

  3. Energy claims with no detail behind them

Builders and careful homeowners want the rating details for the exact frame and glass. "Energy efficient" on its own tells them nothing.

    What the site does instead

Product pages with space for the WERS figures you supply, shown next to the product they belong to.

  4. No clear service area

People in the next town over assume you don't travel, and people three hours away fill your inbox.

    What the site does instead

A service areas page, and short local pages for the towns or suburbs you actually want work in.

  5. A gallery nobody has touched since it launched

Old photos and missing products make a working business look like it has stopped trading.

    What the site does instead

Up to 5 content edits every month, so new jobs, products and prices go up without you logging in to anything.

How your windows, doors and glass pages are organised

Each product gets a page a customer can land on from Google, an ad or a link in your quote email. Here is the structure most window and glazing sites start from; we adjust it to your range during the build.

Windows

  • /windows/awning/
  • /windows/sliding/
  • /windows/double-hung/
  • /windows/casement/

One page per window style, with the frame and glass options you offer for it.

Doors

  • /doors/sliding/
  • /doors/stacker/
  • /doors/bifold/
  • /doors/hinged/

Door pages for the openings people renovate most: alfresco, living areas and entries.

Glass

  • /glass/double-glazing/
  • /glass/acoustic/
  • /glass/low-e/
  • /glass/laminated/

Glass pages that explain what each option is for in plain words: warmth, noise, glare, safety.

Repairs and retrofit

  • /repairs/broken-glass/
  • /retrofit/
  • /secondary-glazing/

For work on existing windows, with a photo upload so you can price it quickly.

Service areas

  • /areas/
  • /areas/<town>/

Where you work, with short local pages only for the places you really want jobs in.

Quotes and builders

  • /quote/
  • /builders/

A homeowner quote form, and a separate path for builders to send plans or a window schedule.

Our examples are sample designs for invented businesses, built in real HTML the same way your site would be. They are not client work, and we don't show them as if they were.

This one is for a double glazing retrofit business. The examples page also has an emergency glass repair site and an aluminium window and door maker with a builders section.

Common questions

How long is the contract?

The minimum term is 12 months from the day your site goes live. After that the plan runs month to month and either of us can end it with notice before the next billing date.

Do you guarantee Google rankings or a number of enquiries?

No. Nobody can honestly promise a position in Google or a number of quote requests. We build a fast, clear site with the pages window customers look for and keep it up to date. Google says there is no way to pay for a better local ranking.

What do I need to supply?

Your business details, logo, photos of your work, the products and services you sell, the suburbs or towns you cover, any prices you want shown, and access to your domain. We send a checklist after the call so nothing is missed.

Can the site show WERS ratings for my windows?

Yes. Product pages can carry the rating details you supply for each frame and glass combination, such as star ratings, U-value and SHGC, with a note on where the figures come from. We only show figures you give us for the actual product.

Who owns the domain name?

You do. The domain is registered in your business name and you pay the registrar directly. If you leave, you keep the domain and we help you point it wherever you choose.
